1 – Lucha Va Voom, Valentines Spectacular

Description:

For a wacky fun one of a kind date go to Lucha Va Vooms annual Valentine show ‘Pin Ups & Pin Downs’ at the Mayan Theater.

Masked Mexican wrestling, little people, burlesque shows, high octane performances, acrobats, comedy and live music its like a carnival on speed.

If your date has a fun sense of humor and loves to do unique stuff it gets no better than this crazy out of the ordinary valentine’s celebration.

2 – Grand Park, Lovers Rock

Description:

Grand Park in DTLA is a gathering place for residents of our great city and it knows how to host and entertain its many visitors.

That’s no different with Valentine’s Day, as it invites everyone to get that romantic picnic dinner date ready and come enjoy in the park.

Not in the mood to pack food? Food trucks will also be there to satisfy you and your honeys cravings.

Enjoy the outdoors, the views of the city, the moonlight and the reggae music.

For 2020 this event is on February 14th from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Grand Parks Lovers Rock is completely gratis but if you have a little scratch to spend there are many awesome restaurants or bars nearby to take your special date afterwards including Badmaash DTLA,  RedBird or The Edison

 


3 – Gondola Ride, Long Beach or Newport 

Description:

Feeling muy romantica? Take an intimate Gondola ride in Long Beach or Newport Beach. From February 13th to February 16th, you can find deals on a private gondola and gondolier.

These packages also include corkage, long stem rose, blankets and a memorable picture.

This is a wonderful way to spend Valentine’s day with that special someone.  You can also share the gondola with another couple if you want for an additional fee.

Prices are lower on February 13th and 16th but they’re due upon reservation and non-refundable.

4 – Spend the Weekend in Laguna Beach

Description:

Valentines is on a Friday this year so splurge with a weekend trip to beautiful Laguna Beach.

This will be the most romantic weekend of the year, as you begin your day with yoga at the beach or breakfast in bed in one of the many beautiful hotels in Laguna Beach.

Spa anyone? Nothing says I love you like a botanical bubble bath with a scalp massage or side by side massage in one of the spa sanctuaries.

You can enjoy so much of what Laguna has to offer with your other half by renting bikes or kayaking in hidden coves where you both can appreciate schools of fish, sea lions and tide pools.

5 – Lady & The Tramp, El Capitan Theater

On Valentines week the historic el Capitain Theater shows one of the most beloved romantic movies of al time the Disney classic, Lady and the Tramp.
