What To Do in Los Angeles Winter 2020

Winter is coming! Thankfully we don’t have to deal with white walkers in 2020 (yet), but we do have to steer clear of Covid-19.

While LA is known for endless summers and sunny skies we still have some fun Winter activities and traditions to enjoy. But of course this year we have some changes so we wanted to list out what can we all still do this winter in LA, what businesses are open, and how to participate safely.

1 – Stranger Things, The Drive-Into Experience.

Stranger Things Drive Through

Description:

Based on the super-popular Netflix show this impressive theatrical adventure and experience with visual and audio effects is for an audience of 13+ and it can all be enjoyed from the safety of your car.

Get tickets online at their website, or app, starting at $69 for 2 people in one car. Not cheap but this is still almost guaranteed to sell out.

It is designed to immerse viewers into a world back in 1985 with adventures, secrets, and monster hunts while you journey through Hawkins.

You can purchase snacks at the start of the event only, and you must be there at your scheduled time or you won’t get in.  Check out the TV show if you haven’t yet, and head over to this awesome adventure this Winter.  Have fun!

2 – Watch the Nov-Dec Meteor Shower

Meteor Shower 2020

Description:

Got a good backyard that gets super dark at night? Then get ready for a treat because meteor showers are a great show you can look up to skies to watch.  If you couldn’t catch the Leonid meteor shower that was November 16th, no worries, because the Geminid meteor shower will be ready to dazzle you on December 13th, 2020.

If you don’t have a dark back yard, you can also see it from another safe dark spot such as Big Bear Lake, Lake Arrowhead, or our personal favorite and most recommended place for meteor shower viewing and stargazing, the amazing Joshua Tree.
