Description:

Lets start our journey of catching the perfect blooms this Spring by seeking out the wonderful California poppies.  Our beautiful state flower, dressed up in orange and radiating joy and optimism can be spotted at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.  This is simply the best place in all of Southern California, to catch California poppies in full bloom.

From about mid March you should find beautiful trails with lots of flowers.  There is parking available for $10, however the lot is small.  You can arrive early or you can park in Lancaster Road, and then walk to the entrance.  While the Antelope Valley is our number one choice there are other great places to find California poppies including Malibu Creek State Park and Carrizo Plain National Monument.
