Los Angeles is of course packed with celebrities who come to both work and live in LA. But the weird thing is you could go years living here and not necessarily see a famous person when you are out and about.
And I don’t mean going to a show or something where you are at least going to see a famous host.
I’m talking about just seeing known people in their every day life. Where do famous people in Los Angeles shop, have coffee, grab drinks or just hang out?
In this blog post we are going to reveal those secret places.
And you will see that famous people are just like the rest of us trying to live a great life in the best city in the world.
1 – EreWhon Market on Beverly
Description:
This organic and natural food market on Beverly is located in a hot Mid City neighborhood just a block away from the famous Grove.
If you grab your groceries here you could very well run into a famous person doing the same. Erewhon is well known for celeb spotting and it has even been featured on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’.
Hanging out in this neighborhood in general will give you plenty of opportunities to spot celebrities but you can really increase your chances at this health food hotspot in the center of it all.
Extremely health conscious celebs like Eva Longoria, all of the Kardshians and more well known folks are known to be regulars.

Another thing that helps this market draw celebrities is that its right next to CBS Studios! Folks in production will often stop by for a healthy lunch at the market.
And you can snag some (usually) free tickets to go see a live studio taping at CBS. That way you are sure to see some famous people although it will be from your seat in the audience.
2 – Chateau Marmont
Description:
The Chateau Marmont is a remarkable hotel that has been opened since 1929. It’s a beloved historical landmark and a popular destination among directors, producers and Hollywood stars.
Some of the most famous entertainers of all time have stayed and even lived at the Chateau because of its reputation for catering to the famous and making sure their privacy is kept.
Staying at the Chateau Marmont can be pricey but here is how you can hang with the celebs with out breaking the bank.
Make a reservation to eat or grab drinks at the restaurant or visit the bar, and with some luck you will see a rock star or famous actor stumble down from their room for a meal.

If you see a celebrity be sure to play it cool! This is not the place you want to whip out your cell phone and ask for selfies. Remember this is known as a sanctuary for privacy for famous people so you are likely to be kicked out if you bother anyone.
Besides its better to dress up really nice, play it cool and have people wondering who you could possibly be?
3 – Malibu Country Mart
Description:
Located just steps from that beautiful beach, the Malibu Country Mart offers 25+ stores and a trendy upscale vibe.
Hollywood stars often make appearances here to enjoy brunch or to shop at one of the stores and so on. Why? Because quite a few celebs live in Malibu so this is just a local neighborhood hang out for them.
Some of the celebrities that you may see include Robert Downey Jr., Jim Carry, Kevin Bacon, Dean Cain and many more.

If you are driving all the way out to Malibu for the Malibu Country Mart (totally worth it) you might as well check out some other awesome Malibu spots while you are there.
There are dozens but a few recommendations we have is the Malibu Pier, Neptune’s Net and Zuma Beach.
4 – Runyon Canyon
Description:
If you like to work out outdoors and run, walk, stroll around with your dog Runyon Canyon is the place to go.
Lots of celebrities enjoy their outdoor work out or alone time hiking in LA like everyone else. Now granted you are more likely to see Reality TV, supporting actors and Instagram stars here but it is still pretty cool to see anyone you recognize.
While Runyon Canyon is known famous people spotting you need to pay close attention.
Lots of times they are wearing ball caps and oversize sun glasses to keep cool from the sun and also for privacy.

There is free (but donation encouraged) instructor led yoga classes at Runyon. It is generally every day but you can see their updated schedule on their Facebook page.
And yes, there is a chance you will see a celebrity at the Yoga classes as well!
5 – The Grove LA
Description:
The Grove is one of the most popular places in all of LA and is loved by both tourists and locals.
Not only do celebrities shop here for the popular stores and restaurants like everyone else but it is also used as a filming location, appearing in several shows set in LA like Modern Family and many others.
Also, many of us used to love seeing Mario Lopez filming the TV show Extra right at the Grove. But unfortunately, after many years the location changed to Universal Studios.
Just like everyone else in LA celebrities love to stop by the Grove often, making it a high chance you will see someone famous on your day out at this awesome shopping center.

The Grove made our list because you have a high probability of seeing a celebrity just going about their daily business and having fun there. But if you want to guarantee your chance of seeing someone famous make sure you go during a special event.
They have performances all throughout the year so attending one is a sure bet for catching an A lister but it will likely be from the audience.
