1 – Hilltop Park in Signal Hill

If you like to visit Long Beach, this park should definitely be on your list for picnic spots.  One of the main attractions of Hilltop Park is its amazing panoramic views. You can enjoy sweeping vistas of Long Beach, the Pacific Ocean, and even catch a glimpse of the city skyline.

The park’s elevated location makes it a popular spot for photography and enjoying sunsets.  Bring your friends, family or date and enjoy the telescopes at the park, with them you can spot Catalina Island, San Pedro, the Port of Long Beach and even Downtown LA.

Besides the views the beautiful park provides benches, and picnic designated areas for a comfortable and laidback picnic experience. Or you can take advantage of the grassy area to simply lay out your blanket or mat.  We do recommend you arrive early if you plan on having a sunset picnic, since the park’s scenic views are not secret for Angelenos and it can get busy.
