5 LA Theme Parks that Have Re-opened Spring 2021

It’s Spring 2021 and things are really looking up as the Los Angeles opens back up! And maybe one of the clearest signs of things going in the right direction is the return of the local theme parks!

Ready for some rides? Comfort food? Live entertainment? Characters? Alright! Get ready because our beloved Southern California theme parks are coming back strong with some new entertainment.

As you can imagine these places have been hit hard being almost completely shutdown for a year but theme parks are now re-opening responsibly, following health guidelines which involve limited capacity, temperature checking and face mask requirements.

For all these parks visitors must reserve on-line prior to visit.  Read this article for more details and have fun at your favorite theme park.

 


1 – DisneyLand

DisneyLand re-open

Description:

Ok Disney is without a doubt the most beloved theme park in the world and here is some good news for all of you who have missed Mickey’s friendly face.

Disneyland will re-open on April 30th 2021!  The doors of our beloved land and magical theme park  will open for California residents only.

Not all the attractions will be available, but you will see your favorite characters in the park and find plenty of entertainment being back at Disney and sharing pics with your friends who are sure to be jealous.

So what to expect?  You need reservations to visit the park, visit the website to get your passes prior to your visit.  Also make sure to bring your face mask.  Have a fun and safe visit!

2 – Universal Studios

Universal Studios re-open

Description:

Universal Studios Hollywood is back!  Doors will open starting April 16th to California residents only.  This theme park is ready to welcome back locals and entertain residents of all ages with its fun attractions and even new ones such as  “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash” and “Jurassic World – The Ride”.  the new Jurassic ride has a new spectacular realistic dinosaur, Indominus rex.

The park is opening under safety Covid-19 guidelines, some of the attractions won’t be open and capacity is limited according to the new state safety requirements.

Be sure to grab your tickets online, remember to bring your mask and have a great time.

3 – Magic Mountain

Six flags re-open

Description:

Ready for some of the most thrilling rides in the country?  Six Flags Magic Mountain reopened on April 3rd, 2021.  Following strict safety guidelines, the park has put in a new system to pre-schedule your visit.

What to expect?  You are required to wear your face mask, also your temperature will be checked prior to enter the park.  Capacity is limited so be sure to purchase parking in advance.

This park truly has some of the most intense and thrilling rides and many have been anxiously waiting for its return, so have fun and enjoy the pulse pounding rides.

4 – Knotts Berry Farm

Knotts Berry Farm re-opening

Description:

Knotts Berry Farm has been awesome helping us getting through madness of the past year with limited opening events. They delighted us with the fun Taste of Fall-O-Ween, where we got to see Snoopy and eat delicious fall yummy treats.  The younger visitors got to trick or treat following safety guidelines.

Currently this beloved park is offering its Taste of Boysenberry Festival, another no rides event where all visitors get to try some yummy food and drinks, walk around the theme park and take home some of that delicious boysenberry jelly and other treats.

The park has now announced opening date with the rides coming back! Doors will officially open on May 21st and will welcome visitors as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.

If you are a pass holder, prepared to get spoiled with early access starting on May 6, reservations required prior to your visit so visit their website.

5 – Legoland

Legoland reopening

Description:

If you have kids you will want to travel 2 hours south to Legoland. As of April 15th the Legoland resort is fully open! Yes it is true and that includes the Sea Life Aquarium and Lego Chima waterpark.  You and your family can now go back to run around in Legoland.

Legoland is back for its visitors and offering all its fun entertainment.  The aquarium opens April 15th, however the feeding demonstration and Ocean Journey Cafe will remain closed for now.

All guests can also enjoy a wide range of rides, social distant character meet and greets, live entertainment, and visit Mini-land.

It is open with limited capacity so you must reserve online before visiting.
