Going to see Christmas lights is a beloved annual tradition in LA. But of course, it’s 2020 so we need to take extra cautions and considerations.
That’s why in this guide we are sharing a few of our favorite Holiday displays where it’s still fairly easy to social distance.
Enjoy all these beautiful displays, fill your spirit with all the marvelous lights, and still do it in the safest way possible.
Have fun!
1 – Manhattan Beach Pier
Description:
If you want a SoCal type of Christmas you can get it at the beach. Manhattan Beach to be exact.
The popular beach neighborhood has one of the best Holiday light decorations on its Pier and it’s not difficult to keep some distance from other onlookers since you can see the well-lit Pier from anywhere near the area.
Downtown Manhattan Beach also offers free meter parking during the Holiday season and you will see the ones you can park at for free clearly marked.

Thousands of lights displayed and synchronizing to Holiday music with the downtown skyline as a backdrop is a must-see show.
Go early and take cool pics with friends or solo. There are also tons of take out restaurant options for after the show.

3 – Naples Canal, Long Beach
Description:
At Naples Canal, there are gorgeous houses on both sides of the water that go all out with incredible Christmas decorations. The walkways can be a bit narrow but if you go on a weeknight it should not be too crowded.
Take a nice stroll by the canal surrounded by Christmas light displays, so much fun! Take in a treat with your walk with some candy canes or pack some delicious apple cider.
If you really want to distance you can also step it up and rent a private gondola for you and the members of your household and enjoy the beautiful lights with your loved ones right on the water.

For the Christmas season, it’s extra special with its Holiday Market. On the first floor outdoor plaza, you will find this holiday wonderland with all the season’s delights.
