The Best Farmers Markets in Los Angeles

It seems like every neighborhood in LA has a Farmers Market. And most of them are awesome!

Now if you love Farmers Markets, of course you are likely to go to the one closest to where you live. But there are some that stand out above the rest and are worth braving LA traffic to visit every once in awhile!

Here is a list of some of favorite next level Los Angeles Farmers Markets.

 


1 – Santa Monica Farmers Market

Description:

What can be more pleasant than strolling near the Ocean air at the Santa Monica Farmers Market?

This is the most famous on our list and happens right in Downtown Santa Monica on Arizona Ave, at the 3rd Street Promendade and just blocks from the world-famous Pier.

You will find a huge selection of colorful produce, flowers and other products from Californias top farmers.

Many well known chefs are known to come here to gather ingredients for their dishes at their popular restaurants.

Find it on Wednesdays & Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Like we said this is the legit spot that many local LA chefs (including celebrity ones) go to get their ingredients.

If you love the celebrity foodie world stop by and you may spot a few. But be sure to come early as they like to get there right as it opens so they can get thier pick!

 


2 – Torrance Farmers Market

Description:

This awesome Farmers Market can be found twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Find amazing quality of produce from over 60 California farms.

In addition to produce you can also purchase delicious food including organic hamburgers and their super popular BBQ ribs.

This market is adjacent to the park so there is plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your food and let the kids play in the playground and grassy areas.

Also there is a splash pad available during the hot summer days!

There is a BBQ spot there every week called ‘Roger’s Chicken & Ribs’ If you love BBQ give it a try. Trust me. No need to explain where it is. You will be directed by the wonderful smell and the long line!

 


3 – Beverly Hills Farmers Market

Description:

The outdoor Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market will wow your palate with all the many fresh flavors you will find here.

This certified Farmers Market also offers specialty prepared foods including tamales, French crepes, fresh juices and more.

And of course if you want to be around the “good life” you will be rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous of Beverly Hills.

It is open Sundays from 9:00am to 1:00pm rain or shine.

They offer pony rides and animal petting at their pet zoo right on site at the Market.

 


4 – Hollywood Farmers Market

 

Hollywood Farmers Market

Description:

This massive Farmers Markets sells food and produce from more than 160 farmers. Right near famous Hollywood Blvd this has “only in LA’ all over it.

People who live close to this location and well known chefs have made this market their weekly source for a fun foodie adventure.

And since its Hollywood they also bring lots of entertainment for visitors, including live music and hand made arts and crafts.

This is likely the most crowded on our list. If you want to have fun minus the stress of big crowds, lots of traffic and very little parking do yourself a favor and come early!

 

 


5 – SilverLake Farmers Market

Description:

Of course LAs most hipster neighborhoods is going to have a hipster Farmers Market!

Open twice a week Tuesdays and Saturdays you can find a ton of gems at this Market, though its probably the smallest size wise on our list.

From your favorite local products, prepared foods and even vintage clothing, the Silverlake Farmers Market is packed with the goods!

The Silverlake Farmers Market because it is so small is the most “local’ on our list. Meaning if you do not live in the area you may not want to venture out to see it.

The others are larger with more to see. But if you live in or near Silverlake and love that vibe this is the one for you!
