Fun Halloween Activities in LA You Can Still Do in 2020

2020 has seen the cancellation of so many fun annual events we normally take for granted. With Halloween coming soon and the city already announcing they are discouraging trick or treating its looking a little bleak for people who love this spooky holiday.

But there are still a few fun Halloween themed events you can do in 2020 in Los Angeles.  This year many of us won’t be taking kids to knock on neighbor’s doors on Halloween, but we can still go out and enjoy some activities around the city as long as we keep a safe distance and take precautions.

Here we give you some great options for Halloween so that you can still have a little fun.

 


1 – The Witch House Beverly Hills

Description:

Take a stroll around Beverly Hills and stop at The “Witch” House.  Also known as Spadena house, the Witch House is like no other, and it offers the perfect backdrop for your Halloween 2020 pic.  

Some locals call it the LA Hansel and Gretel’s house but its more commonly called the Witch House. 

This is a perfect choice for strolling around and showing up your costume while still practicing social distance.

Keep in mind that this a private residence so don’t trespass and be respectful of the owners.

2 – Nights of the Jack Drive Through

Description:

Nights of the Jack in Calabasas and their incredible displays won’t let us down this year.  One of the most popular annual spook events they’re presenting a super fun drive through Halloween experience to deal with the realities of 2020.

A new trail will be displaying thousands of amazing hand-carved and illuminated Jack O’ Lanterns!

3 – Pumpkin Rock, Norco

Pumpkin Rock Norco

Description:

Visit this beloved giant pumpkin in nearby Norco, for a fun day time activity and hike.  Don’t forget, even though its October it is still warm out there so carry your supplies and enjoy all the views this hike has to offer. This is one of the few Halloween activities that you can do during the day and will still put you in the spooky spirit.

Although It is considered a moderate hike for most healthy people, don’t forget our warning about the heat and be sure to bring your insulated bottle with cool drinks, and sunscreen.

4 – Taste of Fall-O’ween Knotts Berry Farm

Description:

Yes to Knott’s Berry Farm! Another excellent choice for families or anyone who wants to go out and celebrate a little outside without compromising safety.

Get in the Halloween spirit this year with food and treat stations, art shows, spooky decorations, and a Camp Snoopy themed Trick or Treat Trail.

These are just some of the fun activities you will experience in this awesome spooky trip to beloved Knotts Berry Farm.

5 – Haunted House Drive-Thru

Description:

This year drive-thru haunted houses will have to do and there are some good choices for you to enjoy.

Come check out Urban Legends of Southern California in Costa Mesa, with a 45-minute drive thru full of scary storytelling and decorated sets.

Another choice for family fun is at FreeForm Halloween Road in Los Angeles, this is an all behind the wheel experience that takes you and your kids to a road of fun performances, surprises, games, and amazing sets from the worlds of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus.

Adults can drive up to Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, it is displaying a multimedia story in a 40-foot screen. An original horrifying show with sets and characters from Midnight Falls to help bring the story to life.

This year the location is also different for safety and it will be held in Bonelli Park, next to Raging Waters in San Dimas, this show is open in select nights from September 25 until November 1.
