The City of Los Angeles and Instagram are like a match made in heaven.
There is an endless sea of choices throughout this city for ‘engagement thirsty’ Instagramers looking for an awesome location or backdrop for their posts.
One of the most popular hotspots are so called “Instagram walls”. Usually with a gorgeous mural painting or graffiti as the backdrop you have likely seen dozens of these popping up on Insta from both causal dabblers and well known Social Media influencers.
1. The “Goddess” Wall
Snap the ultimate LA instaworthy Wall pic with Collette Millers spectacular mural ‘You Are a Goddess Living in a City of Angels’ on the corner of 8th&Hope in DTLA.
Legendary (in LA anyway) artist Collette Miller has left quite the artistic mark by spreading her wings with the Global Wings Project.
Sprinkled throughout the city of LA, Colette’s Angel Wings have been one of the most popular shares on Instagram and have since taken flight globally as her work is now seen in countries all over the world!
There are many local ‘Angel Wings’to choose from in Los Angeles but our favorite remains “The Goddess Wall” on 8th & Hope right on the outside of The Bloc.
Even among her other amazing works this piece stands out because of its massive size and special unique and heartfelt message for visitors.
So the next time you are in DTLA be sure to stop by the BLOC and snap a pic with the beautiful Goddess Wall.

The Goddess Wall is so large its difficult to get the whole thing (letters and all) with one shot. If you go at an angle (as pictured) you can capture it all. You can also shoot from across the street but will have to wait until traffic clears to get the perfect snap.
2. The “Made in LA” Wall
Right on the famous and perpetually cool Melrose street you will find the “Made in LA Wall”.
If you want to show your hometown pride or were born in Los Angeles than a pic with this wall is going to show everyone that gratitude you have for living in Americas greatest city.
This beautiful wall has been around since 2013 and in that time it has popped up thousands of times on Instagram feeds as people cant get enough of it.
If you want to grab an awesome pic and show your proud to be in LA than this wall on the outside of the Cisco building on Melrose is for you.

The “Made in LA” is just around the corner from the “Pink Wall” (#4 on our list). So you could easily hit up both at one time.
3. The “California Dreaming” Wall
The “California Dreaming’ Wall” captures the spirit of all those who love California and have always dreamed of one day moving here and experiencing all it has to offer.
To take your snapshot of ‘California Dreaming’ head on over to this massive wall off La Cienega Blvd on the exterior of the Chinese Laundry building.

The California Dreaming Wall is just a short car ride from Downtown Culver City. This hotspot is jam packed with blocks of delicious bar and restaurant choices and is one of the most underrated foodie locations in LA in my opinion. After taking your epic shots with the wall take the quick drive over to downtown Culver CIty and grab lunch or drinks!
4. The “Paul Smith Pink” Wall
The glorious “Pink Wall” you see all over your Instagram feed is on the outside of the Paul Smith store in West Hollywood. Originally designed as a draw for potential shoppers to the clothing store the Pink Wall went beyond all their expectations and has now become an iconic LA mural fueled by the age of Instagram.
Hundreds of selfie snappers line up for their chance with the wall each week. It has gotten so popular they actually station security by the wall. The security does not allow any professional photo shoots with camera equipment but you are perfectly welcome to snap away with your phone. As long as you are courteous and move along quickly for the next amateur photog!

The “Pink Wall” is just around the corner from the “Made in LA” (#2 on our list). So you could easily hit up both at one time.
Also note that at the time of this writing the Pink Wall had been vandalized. Before going check Instagram for hashtag “pinkwallla and click on the ‘Recent’ tab. Check out the current status before making your trip.
5. The “Venice Love” Wall
Ahh Venice.. .that bohemian street and hip slice of beach paradise that best represents the vibrant uniqueness of LA neighborhoods.
Is it no wonder that Venice’s contribution to Los Angeles best wall murals is one dedicated to love?
After all for those that are devoted to the quirky beach-side neighborhood their is no lack of expressing how much they love it.
There are a few ‘love’ walls that have popped up around LA. But like Collette Millers “Angel Wings” (#1) only some are legit from the original artist.
Like the great Rick Flair said “You can imitate but you cant duplicate”!

This Love wall on Abbot Kinney is one of only a few in our city that comes from the original Street artist James Goldcrown.
After snapping some pics with this authentic Goldcrown Love Wall be sure to hang out in Abbot Kinney, called the coolest street in America by GQ magazine.
