Los Angeles is one of the best places for outdoor dining thanks to the beautiful weather all year round, and even more fun than chilling at a sidewalk café or tucked away secret patio, is visiting the rooftops.
These mesmerizing rooftops spoil us all with marvelous elevated vistas of our beloved city. The beauty isn’t just in the view though, as some locations have gorgeous interiors with greenery adding to the vibes.
This list contains some amazing Los Angeles garden rooftop restaurants for you to enjoy the cool breeze, beautiful views and gorgeous greenery.
1 – OpenAire, Koreatown
Description:
OpenAire, high atop the hip Line Hotel in KTown, used to be called Roy Choi’s Commissary. It was taken over and rebranded a few years ago with its new name. But everything that has made this space one of the most popular rooftop restaurants in LA over the years has stayed the same.
We love a good bite surrounded by pretty looking green landscapes and you get that in this one of a kind space that looks like a greenhouse, that just happens to be on a rooftop near a pool. Its not just the vibes and aesthetics that make this a must however, as the variety of dishes they serve makes it a great place to bring fellow foodies and we are sure you’ll find something tasty to try for everyone.
If you are near the area, a guest of the hotel, or want to come out for a special meal, we definitely recommend you visit this hot spot in Koreatown.
The lush green house and outdoor terrace are currently open for dinner and weekend brunch.

2 – Catch LA, West Hollywood
Description:
Located above West Hollywood this restaurant has awesome rooftop views of LA. The gorgeous lush vibes makes it one of the most Instagramed restaurants in Los Angeles, for your selfies and group pics.
Catch LA features a nice seafood menu with Asian influences and you can find the dishes you are craving but might not normally have access to like a 2 lb. Cantonese lobster or truffle sashimi.
Make sure you leave room for dessert because you may want to indulge a bit with a bite of their warm ricotta donuts.
The cocktails are also delightful, try the East Coast Kali or the Detox Retox which has matcha, cucumber, mint and lime. Wine, sake and beer are also available.
If you are looking for a perfect place to have a great time, a good meal and show off a bit for the gram you cant lose with a trip to Catch LA.

3 – Mamas Shelter, Hollywood
Description:
The colorful Mama’s Shelter has striking views of Hollywood making it a very popular choice for rooftop bar hotspots, especially on weekends. This place is popular and there are no reservations, with service being first come first serve, plan to come early on a weekend trip or come out on a school night.
There are so many good drinks here, 7 types of mules, multiple sangrias, and both classic and innovative cocktails. You can also find a generous list of beers and wines if artisan cocktails aren’t your jam.
The menu is good and unique and we recommend some adobo wings or a $23 Mama’s famous Le Royal Burger. This is Hollywood so they have some great vegetarian and vegan options also available.
All of this, plus beautiful plants and a great DJ, makes this a stop you shouldn’t skip if you want gorgeous vibes and views in a fun party atmosphere.
Open Sunday through Thursday from noon until midnight. Friday and Saturday the fun ends at 2:00 am.

4 – Perch, DTLA
Description:
Perch Bar is a classic DTLA rooftop with a beautiful garden terrace overlooking the skyline. This gorgeous French-inspired restaurant is located on the 15th floor of the Pershing Square Building. Bring that special someone for a romantic patio dinner, cocktails and remarkable views of Downtown LA skyline.
You can choose to dine inside or outside but of course the views are more spectacular outside if you can snag a spot. On warm nights we definitely recommend dinner and drinks on the outdoor patio with the marvelous greenery surrounding you. Besides the view, the lush space and great food you can also enjoy the bar and lounge, and firepits.
If you love Downtown Los Angeles and you love rooftops, you need to get to this beloved classic ASAP!

5 – Terra, Century City
Description:
Westfield Century City completed a Billion dollar renovation a few years ago and one of the massive upscale malls crown jewels is the huge Italian Market, Bar, café and Restaurant called Eataly.
But hidden on the rooftop of Eataly is an absolute gem of a bar and outdoor space called Terra. This up scale restaurant features a pretty generous menu, savory handmade pastas and wood-grilled Italian classic dishes. But best of all you can enjoy unbeatable views of the Hollywood Hills and West LA while you dine in the lush garden space.
We recommend the weekend brunch, which features classic brunch dishes with Italian influences. This delicious and fun brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 to am. to 3:00 pm.
