But we are here to tell you that there is much more to the intriguing little town of Beverly Hills than just stunning displays of excess.
Although the branding of Beverly Hills has you believe its all about the glamourous life it has many other things to offer the visitors too, like the beautiful venues to stroll around, amazing parks with gorgeous landscape and paths for walking and jogging.
It also has some of the best spots for photog happy Instagrammers.

1 – Snap A Pic with the Beverly Hills Sign
Description:
This is one of the most visited landmarks in Beverly Hills and the most popular spot to snap a picture and show you visited the famous town. The Beverly Hills sign is 40 feet long and located in Beverly Gardens Park. Though the sign is the biggest draw this charming park has lots more to offer.
You can enjoy a walk around the park using the winding paths that weave through sights to see on both sides of it. The park is about 1.9-miles and displays art sculptures, a cactus and rose garden, fountains, and jogging paths.
The city often hosts large events at this park including the popular annual art show.
But another thing to love about Beverly Gardens Park is its location. It’s right on Santa Monica boulevard with beautiful mansions on one side and the beautiful shops of Rodeo drive just across the street.
If you want to escape the commercial glitz of Beverly Hills for a few minutes you can relax in this little slice of nature a short walk away from the main shopping and tourist area.

2 – Wander the Grounds of the GreyStone Mansion
Description:
This is a historic mansion that was built for the oil-rich Doheny family who rose to prominence in the 1920s that made an impactful and many ways controversial mark in Los Angeles history.
The beautiful Greystone mansion was the home of wealthy socialites Ned and Lucy Doheny and where a mysterious and controversial double homicide took place. You can read more about the sordid story here
Despite its grisly past, the gorgeous Tudor style mansion with its vast gardens and grounds are now a public park owned by the city of Beverly Hills that you are free to roam and take pictures at during regular hours.
Although there is a fee to tour the house and it’s only accessible by appointment or special occasion, the self-guided tour of the breathtaking grounds and gardens overlooking Beverly Hills is completely free and totally worth a visit.
You can access the grounds during regular hours without an appointment and the parking on the upper level is free.

3 – Take a Cruise Through Mulholland Drive
Description:
Southern California has been all about car culture ever since this method of transportation took over as the norm. And there are few roads as well known as the winding paths of beautiful Mulholland Drive.
This renowned road has some of the most spectacular overlooks of the city, and its home to some of the most expensive houses in the world. When you just want to go for a drive on a sunny day in Los Angeles there a few choices that offer as much to marvel at from your window as Mullholland drive.
When you want to cruise around it’s a pretty great option to stop for a few good pictures and to enjoy a relaxing drive while taking in some stunning canyon views.

4 – Relax at Will Rogers Memorial Park
Description:
Right smack in the middle of the bustling streets and mega-mansions of Beverly Hills rests Will Rogers Memorial State Park. This gorgeous 5 acres plus park is shaped like a triangle and surrounded by Sunset Boulevard, North Canon Drive, and Beverly Drive.
It was named after the beloved actor from the 1920s, Will Rogers who served as the first Honorary Mayor in Beverly Hills in 1926.
Beautiful palm trees, fountains, and a pond with koi fish and turtles make this a very pleasant spot for relaxing, reading, and take cute pictures. So if you ever find yourself in Beverly Hills to enjoy some of the glam make sure to take some time and check out for a bit of peace and quiet at Will Rogers Memorial Park.

5 – Grab Lunch at Nate ‘n Al’s Deli
Description:
Some of the fanciest and most expensive restaurants in California can be found in Beverly Hills. But if you are in the mood for a classic spot that is delicious and still easy on the wallet you will want to stop at the iconic ‘Nate ‘n Al’s’ deli on Beverly Drive.
The classic Jewish deli is known for its house rye, corned beef, and pastrami, and other favorites. Nate ‘n Al’s is a beloved California Jewish deli and has been open for over 70 years and still going strong because it manages to remain popular with old-timers as well as new converts. Most of that is because they stuck with what made them a legend to begin with at that’s their great flavors and old fashion good service.
The next time you are window shopping in Beverly Hills be sure to stop by during your stroll and grab a nice casual lunch or take your sandwich to go and visit one of the local parks for an easy outdoor picnic city style with some classic Nat ‘n Al’s.
