Hacking Torrance with Niko Rotta
What city do you think of first when you hear the “South Bay”? Probably first ones to pop in your head are Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach or maybe even Palos Verdes?
But there is a town in the Beach cities that does not get talked about much.
It’s Torrance and its pretty much the anchor neighborhood for the whole area. Torrance is home of the 5th largest mall in all of America! And is packed with just about every restaurant, store, and activity that you can imagine.
It also has its own beach, is home to the best Candy Cane Lane in LA, and has a huge and thriving Asian culture among so many other things.
So why is that no one outside of the South Bay ever talks about Torrance?
To uncover that question I interview my good friend and professional photographer Niko Rotta. He was raised in Torrance and still currently lives and works there.
