If you aren’t lucky enough to snag tickets to the Dome seating there are plenty of big screen televisions elsewhere across the venue. 

If your looking for more traditional bars there are plenty of those as well. You have the Prank Bar in DTLA, the Morrison in Atwater Village,  and 33Taps with its 4 locations including the OG in Silver Lake. With their awesome atmospheres and legendary super bowl parties, all of these spots are great choices for super bowl watch parties.

Several restaurants across the park and also Downtown Disney are offering delicious food and treats with a New Year’s Eve cheer. 

Also inside the park expect to find the most beautiful decorations and all the fun activities that Disney hosts every year. 

Have fun with all the classic and new rides,  multicultural celebrations, themed food, and of course sensational fireworks shows at both 9pm and the midnight NYE firework shows.

Next on our list to watch amazing fireworks with your countdown is at the EVE celebration! Universal Studios Hollywood pulls out all the stops for its annual EVE celebration, this event is filled with electrifying energy, music, and festivities. 

The highlight of the night is the epic countdown to midnight, complete with a dazzling fireworks display over the park.

On this day the park offers extended hours so all guests can have more time to enjoy the fantastic rides and activities, plus delicious treats and festive cocktails.

Another super event to watch firework on New Year’s Eve is the biggest public party in our city held at Grand Park in DTLA.  This event is for everyone and is completely FREE. 

On this day all guests can enjoy live music, family friendly activities and a spectacular countdown show to welcome 2025.  The event begins at 8:00 pm until 12:30am. Cheers!

Finally for a spectacular light show in the sky we highly recommend Marina Del Rey Fireworks and Glow Party.  This vibrant waterfront celebration brings all the fun you are looking for. 

Burton Chase Park is getting ready for the biggest party of the year, the free event features food trucks, face painting, photo booth, live entertainment and DJ. 

Countdown the New Year with fireworks show, and welcome 2025 with all the good beach vibes of beautiful Marina Del Rey.

2 – Family Friendly New Year’s Eve

Many families don’t want the youngest members to miss out on celebrations welcoming in the New Year but struggle to keep the kids up at midnight.  Luckily Los Angeles has many fun events prepared this year specifically for little ones, from interactive museums to marine adventures and countdown celebrations.

First in our list is Noon Year’s Eve at the Discovery Cube.  From Noon to 3:00 pm guests are welcome to this great event.  Kids will have a great time with a mega balloon drop, making sparkler fireworks, dancing with live music and DJ and sip and toast apple cider and ginger ale.  

Next you and your kids are invited to dive into the 2025 with music, magic and marine life at the Aquarium of the Pacific New Years Night Dive Celebration.  This super fun event is curated to entertain everyone!

Prepared to be dazzled by the magic of Johnny Wu in the Honda Pacific Visions Theater, and a confetti countdown to celebrate the New Year.  Cafe Scuba is offering a special New Year’s menu, and cocktails will be available at the cash bar.

Description:

Another favorite venue within the Level 8 Complex is Sinners y Santos.  The architecture and ambience of Sinners y Santos alone it’s worth the visit.  One of the most striking features of this space is the floor to ceiling windows.  These windows offer stunning views of the city skyline, and they also help to blur the lines between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

One detail to take note of is the Angel Statue.  This figure is a 12-foot-tall replica of the Angel of Independence statue that is located in Mexico City.  Get ready for amazing Instagram pictures!  Sinners y Santos also has a number of smaller spaces including a private dining room, game room, and a balcony that can be used for private events. 

But beyond all the amazing features of the space that’s both glamorous and inviting. You will also be delighted by the amazing cocktails  crafted with divine inspiration, because the mixologists at Sinners y Santos are alchemists of the highest order.  Each cocktail is a work of art, presented with theatrical flair and guaranteed to ignite your inner sinner (or saint).

For Los Angeles standards its pretty cold for Winter 2024 so we are on the hunt for foods that will keep you warm. Seasonal winter food can be so delicious, cozy, and warm.  And some are also full of flavors, rich textures, and picture perfect presentations.  True LA Hackers know that our city has some great winter comfort food options, even though the temperatures don’t dip dramatically. It’s a great time to embrace all the diversity of the city through its wide selection of comfort foods.

In this list we have some delicious recommendations where you can find some of the best winter dishes in LA. Remember to take your guests or friends and enjoy them all before the season is over.

1 – Soups and Stews

Description:

Our first recommendation is Pho soup, this delicious warm broth is one of the most popular dishes in winter time here in Los Angeles.  The rich, savory broth, adorned with thinly sliced beef, and fresh herbs, becomes a welcome respite from the crisp winter air, providing a culinary journey that marries the essence of Vietnamese comfort with the laid-back vibes of Los Angeles.  Take a trip to Little Saigon in the OC for an authentic experience, and enjoy the soup at one of the several restaurants in this area.

Caldo the Res or Beef Soup is next in our list.  The cool crisp air calls for a hearty and soul-warming dish – like Mexican or Salvadorian caldo de Res. Amidst the palm-lined streets and under the winter sun, this traditional beef soup takes center stage in the quest for comfort food.  Find it at any warm and cozy Mexican or Salvadorian restaurant near neighborhoods like Boyle Heights, East LA, or Highland Park.  We like El Salsabor, but there are several other great places in LA.

Looking for more great soups?  Ward off the chill with a steaming bowl of comforting ramen soup. Los Angeles, known for its diverse culinary scene, is a haven for ramen enthusiasts seeking a warming and flavorful experience. High on our list is a visit to Daikokuya in Little Tokyo. Renowned for its rich and flavorful broth, this cozy spot boasts an authentic atmosphere that transports diners straight to the streets of Tokyo. Description:

Choose your broth – spicy Sichuan, savory tomato, or maybe a delicate mushroom – then dive into a smorgasbord of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles. 5 – Warmest Drinks and Desserts

Okay, okay, yes we have the sweets suggestions for you too. Just because it’s cold in January does not mean there are not perfect desserts for the season and we have to start with churros and Champurrado.

Start your sweet tour at Churros Calientes in Santa Monica.  The inviting ambiance, coupled with the heavenly aroma of freshly fried churros, makes this Santa Monica gem a must-visit.  opt for the classic cinnamon sugar-dusted churros or venture into the realm of filled options like chocolate or dulce de leche. 

Have you had your champurrado today?  You must get one on Olvera Street.  Los Angeles’s oldest Mexican marketplace, Olvera Street, is a vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and smells. Among the colorful papel picado, flags and lively mariachi music, you’ll find the delicious warm chocolatey Mexican drink also known as champurrado, bubbling away in clay pots at nearly every corner.

Last but not least is the winter LA dessert superstar, Bread Pudding.  The city of Angels offers bread pudding in all its glorious forms, from classic comfort to innovative twists.  Where to find it?  Our top recommendation is The Morrison in Los Feliz.

The Morrison reigns supreme in the realm of classic bread pudding. This cozy gastropub crafts their masterpiece with buttery brioche, plump raisins, and a hint of orange zest. The warm, custardy pudding arrives crowned with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a buttery caramel drizzle. Each bite is a delightful dance of textures and flavors, a comforting hug on a chilly LA winter evening.

Other great places to visit when craving bread pudding include The Auld Fella in Culver City, and Pitchoun in DTLA.  Pitchoun is a Parisian-inspired haven in downtown, offering a decadent bread pudding that features toasted baguette soaked in creamy custard and laced with vanilla and rum.
