So much so that the food has become popular even with non-Vegans because of all the delicious and unique flavors.

So whether you have decided to make healthier choices, or that you are just looking for something new and different to eat, here are some of the best vegan restaurants in LA for 2020.

 


1 – Cafe Gratitude

Description:

This super popular small chain of restaurants will delight your palate with all their wide variety of vegan dishes and juices.

Their famous quote “Love is Served” has made this restaurant one of a kind and know that your dishes are made using local produce and environmentally friendly products.

They have locations in the Arts District, Larchmont, San Diego, and Venice.

I have eaten at the Larchmont location 3x’s and each and every one of those 3x’s I saw a pretty big-name celebrity.

So don’t know if it was just luck but if you like celeb-spotting you may want to give this location a try.

 


2 – Monty’s Good Burger

Description:

Yes! Monty’s 100% plant-based burgers look just like a regular burger.  If you are looking for a juicy delicious plant-based burger, this is where you want to go.

Enjoy it with french fries or tater tots and they also serve floats and shakes, delicious cookies, and Monty’s very own organic craft soda.

So probably not the best choice if you are looking to watch your weight but perfect for you treat/cheat day if you love Vegan food.

There are a few local Monty Burger locations but my favorite because of the vibe and energy is the Korea Town spot!

 


3 – Green Temple Redondo Beach

Description:

Simply delicious food and a great peaceful atmosphere makes for an awesome combination.  Bring your special someone and indulge in some of the best vegan flavors you can find in the South Bay.

This restaurant serves organic vegan and vegetarian dishes that will leave you wanting to come back for more and more.

Their juices are also freshly made, packed with flavor and health. If you prefer beer or wine, the restaurant also has a great menu of organic and vegan wines from California, France, and Italy.

They also serve vegan beer!

Another great reason to visit this Vegan gem? It’s just 2 blocks from the beach! After a healthy lunch just walk over to the beach and listen to the peaceful sounds of crashing waves.

 


4 – Rahel’s Ethiopian

Description:

Have you ever tried Ethiopian food?  If not, we encourage you to put on your adventure hat and hit this spot.  If you have had Ethiopian food before, this place is still going to create new impressions that you will not regret and there are plenty of options for Vegans.

Rahel Ethiopian Vegan restaurant has an incredible menu and all you can eat buffet every day from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Also, Sunday brunch that includes Ethiopian Kombucha champagne.

Rahel’s is in the heart of Little Ethiopia! This small block near Mid City is packed with East African restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and small shops. If you love this culture make sure you walk the block after your satisfying lunch.

 

 


5 – Mohawk Bend

Description:

Located in a 100-year-old retrofitted silent movie theater in Echo Park, this popular place is here to stay.

With a huge selection of California craft beers its a hipster haven for Vegans who like to drink a good quality beer as well.

You can also enjoy craft pizzas, seasonal salads, 76 taps of California craft beer, wine, and spirits.

Not only do they have amazing craft beers but they have a few meat choices on their mostly Vegan menu so there is something tasty for the whole party.
