All day every day is how much we think about what to do in Los Angeles here at LifeHacksLA. We really are obsessed with hacking the best of Los Angeles and sharing it with our fellow #LAHackers.
But you know what? It is not easy! There is just so much going on in this incredible city of ours it’s hard to find it all ourselves.
And that’s why we follow other awesome LA accounts on Instagram and other places to stay on top of it all.
In this article, we have a very special treat as we are sharing our favorite LA Influencers!
Here are 10 of the LA influencers we follow to get more ideas on what’s worth doing in LA.
We asked each of them 2 questions about Los Angeles and we think you will agree after reading they came through with some great suggestions!
1 – @InstaworthyLA
Intro:
InstaworthyLA is an Instagram account with the goal of sharing the most “Instaworthy” places in LA and Orange County. It’s a great place to check for things to see and do in Los Angeles that are not only fun but beautiful.
We have loved their content for a long time and have even teamed up with them in the past for some awesome giveaways.
Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
One of our favorite LA hacks is $1 Oysters Happy Hour on Tuesday @Pearls Rooftop. First of all, Pearls is a very pretty and instaworthy place.
Secondly, you can actually get full from Oysters for like $12 and be fancy on a budget! 😀
The cocktails there are really great too. Loving the vibes at this place, although it could get a bit crowded from time to time + oysters, unfortunately, are running out by the end of the night so get here right when happy hour starts.
They have street parking (if you are lucky) and parking in the back of the place which is quite pricy – $15, so would recommend Ubering here if you live nearby 🙂
Question 2:
What is one of your favorite ways to spend a day in LA? (can be a favorite restaurant or place. Or maybe an area where you hit up 2-3 spots next to each other, a favorite hike, etc..)
WeHo is probably our favorite area in LA and Melrose and Sunset streets around this neighborhood are absolutely amazing to wander around 🙂
There are tons of delicious brunch places on Melrose, such as Fratelli Cafe, famous Blu Jam Cafe or Taste on Melrose.
Every Sunday you can visit Flea Market – Melrose Trading post for $5 entrance fee, where you can always find live music, food and tons of vintage denim, art and artsy interior decor pieces.
Another recent find for this area first in LA head spa – Blow Me Away – where you can get sculpt treatments and head massage – perfect and unique way to treat your girlfriend (or yourself) for her/your birthday 🙂

Judging by her account Jamie from BeautyChick101 loves to explore the City of Angels and is a true #LAHacker! She regularly shares some really cool spots including the best wall murals and new pop-ups in Los Angeles.
Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
1) The under-the-radar spot I LOVE (should I be telling you, if I want it to stay under the radar? ) is V Wine Room in West Hollywood. It’s tucked into a quiet street and is so unassuming, you won’t know it’s there unless you KNOW it’s there.
Case in point: I’ve lived in West Hollywood for 4 years, and never knew about it until a month ago when friends said we were going there!
The wine selection can’t be beaten, the bartenders are friendly and amazing (AKA they’ll always recommend something wonderful), and it’s never too loud or crowded. Great for a chill night with friends or a first date.
2) LA Hack: Sometimes I like playing a tourist in my own city.
Case in point: if you HAVE to go to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, do it at night!
The crowds disperse and you can actually look at the handprints and footprints in peace and quiet.
My mom and I went there the last time she was in town and there were only about 5 other people looking at the prints with us—2 of whom were also LA natives!
Question 2:
What is one of your favorite ways to spend a day in LA? (can be a favorite restaurant or place. Or maybe an area where you hit up 2-3 spots next to each other, a favorite hike, etc..)
For when I like to keep it local (I live in West Hollywood): I start with a vanilla iced coffee from Alfred’s in the Alley (if you play your cards right, you MIGHT see a celebrity there).
Then I take it to the rooftop at Restoration Hardware on Melrose, where you get an amazing view of the Hollywood Hills and the chance to relax on their super comfortable couches.
For midday brunch, Tortilla Republic can’t be beaten. Then I like to finish the day with a cocktail or two at The Phoenix or Roger Room.

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
A truly great spot to eat is the Aloha Cafe in Lil Tokyo. Very unassuming but a fantastic breakfast/lunch spot that serves items like spam & eggs, corned beef hash, Portuguese sausage, white rice, and Kings Hawaiian bread.
Keep this one on the down low though, this is secret Angeleno stuff.
Question 2:
What is one of your favorite ways to spend a day in LA? (can be a favorite restaurant or place. Or maybe an area where you hit up 2-3 spots next to each other, a favorite hike, etc..)
A great Saturday in LA is a long drive down Ventura Boulevard from Lankershim all the way west as far as you’re willing to go towards Topanga Canyon.
You will pass by so many things to do that there is bound to be something that will catch your eye and make you struggle to find parking to go to it.
Not least of all the restaurants that can give you everything from Japanese and Indian food in Studio City to Israeli and Sri Lankan food in Encino.
Where you can find more:
LA Meekly is most places you can find a podcast and they are also on Instagram.
But the best place to start is their Youtube Channel.

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
My favorite LA hack is knowing when to drive around LA. Rush hour is between 7-9am & 3-6pm.
The best time to get around during the weekdays is around 10am-2pm or after 8pm.
So you won’t be sitting in the car for hours. On the weekends it’s always best to arrive early.
Question 2:
What is one of your favorite ways to spend a day in LA? (can be a favorite restaurant or place. Or maybe an area where you hit up 2-3 spots next to each other, a favorite hike, etc..)

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
My favorite LA hack for anyone visiting is to go where the tourist aren’t.
It’s easy to get caught up on what you see on social media, and while those places are a part of what makes LA unique, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
If you want to know the real Los Angeles you have to seek out it’s lesser-known gems. My favorites include the neighborhood of San Pedro, Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, and the SouthBay beaches!
Question 2:
What is one of your favorite ways to spend a day in LA? (can be a favorite restaurant or place. Or maybe an area where you hit up 2-3 spots next to each other, a favorite hike, etc..)
Hands down my favorite way to spend a day in LA is exploring downtown. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and I’m still discovering everything there is to do in DTLA.
From shopping, to the amazing food scene, the architecture, special events, and all the history, you really can’t go wrong spending a day there.

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
BEST MATCHA MILKSHAKE IN LA goes to Honeymee. There are a few locations.
You need to try. It is the creamiest, milkiest, butteriest dessert in the world. SO GOOD!

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
The slickest way to get directly behind the Hollywood Sign without the heavy touristy crowds.
Parking by the Sunset Ranch Hollywood is the best route to get behind the Hollywood sign without breaking a sweat! There will be signs along the way pointing to the Hollywood sign so it won’t be hard to miss.
[Editors Note:] the Sunset Ranch trail is now closed to the public. Instead for best current access to get behind the sign use this trailhead address: 3200 Canyon Dr, Los Angeles, CA, 90068, USA.
Once you park around the lavish Hollywood homes and will have to navigate a bit by foot.
This is normal and a part of the adventure so carry on. You will find Sunset Ranch Hollywood on your right and the Hollywood sign trail straight ahead on your left.
The hike is about 30 minutes to the top by you’ll be behind the sign in no time.
Dare you to spot Mickey Mouse’s Sorcerer Hat at The Walt Disney Studio, Burbank when you reach the peak of your hike!
Have fun.
Sunset Ranch Hollywood
3400 N Beachwood Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068

So, once a month there is a day where admission is free.

Question 1:
What is your favorite LA Hack? (this could be tip or trick or cool spot you like to go to that is either unusual or flies under the radar.)
This one is for the photo lover! We love to take out of town visitors to what we call “instagram museums”, or “pop up museums” – they are always a lot of fun, different and unique -and not something you can find everywhere.
Our hack is always to look for photos of the place before we go, this way we arrive already knowing which rooms we would like to spend most of our time in.
