The modern food truck phenomenon that started in about 2008 and spread like wildfire across the country can mostly be attributed to the city of Los Angeles. Of course food trucks existed before but the modern and ubiquitous trucks we see now was kicked off by chef Roy Choi and his Kogi truck concept.
Now of course Food Trucks remain super popular around the nation and in LA, and although Pop Ups kind of took the flare of the trucks for a bit, they’re back strong around town looking to make some noise this season.
Some of us are always out hunting for that truck that carries those hard to find yummy treats we crave. Others might just enjoy the convenience of a quick bite they can access right outside their workplace.
