Best Places to Watch Firework Shows in LA for July 4th

Independence Day is one of our nations most anticipated yearly holiday and in Los Angeles there are plenty of amazing celebratory gatherings all over town. And of course many of those celebrations come with fireworks.  In this article we are sharing some of the most spectacular fireworks displays this year.

If you’re fortunate enough to reside near the coast, simply grab your comfortable beach chair and head over to one of LA’s vibrant piers or waterfronts to catch an awesome view of the show in the sky. For those who don’t have the luxury of proximity, we recommend bringing along portable cushions or blankets and arriving early in the day.

Please be mindful that many beach towns implement street closures and offer limited, overpriced, and crowded parking options. To ensure a full day of adventure, we advise you to arrive early and be prepared to stay until the magnificent fireworks show commences.

Happy July 4th!

2 – Theme Parks July 4th Shows

Disneyland July 4th Fireworks

Description:

Some of the best places to celebrate this patriotic holiday is at the theme parks.   They have an entire agenda prepared for the day, including parades, theme food, fun drinks, dressed up characters and of course, the magnificent fireworks show.

Our first recommendation this year is Universal Studios Hollywood.  In addition to all the fun Universal Studios park offers to all of its guests, this theme park is also always picture perfect and ready to create the most impacting and fun portraits.  Start with the elegant red carpet at the very entrance, and then prepare to see great decorations, displaying red, blue, and white colors and other displays.  Plan to stay all day, until the fireworks show, which is included in your tickets admission.

Our next recommendation is Red, White, and Boom celebration at Legoland.   We know, it’s a little bit of a drive, but it is totally worth it.  This year Legoland is throwing a spectacular show with a star spangled 4th of July celebration that will surely entertain everyone of all ages.  The celebration, that is included with your admission ticket, features American family picnic games and building activities for kids during the day, and a sensational fireworks show in the evening.

More options?  Check out Knott’s Berry Farm fireworks show from July 2nd to 4th, Six Flags Magic Mountain offers fireworks from July 1 to 4.  Last but not least, our beloved Disneyland is ready to spoil us all with all the marvelous colors and fireworks celebrating America.  There will be a Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,  a patriotic Flag Retreat ceremony on July 4th.  Also enjoy patriotic pre-shows on July 4th only, at California Adventure.   Happy 4th everyone!!

5 – July 4th Cruises

Newport Beach Fireworks

Description:

One of the best ways to appreciate the colorful display of fireworks in the sky, is taking a beach cruise at night on July 4th, and we have gathered some fantastic choices here for you.

Check out LA Waterfront Cruises and get tickets for July 4th cruise from San Pedro, or check out Harbor Cruises and enjoy the Long Beach Harbor celebrations.  By the way Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, with the support of the Port of Los Angeles, is presenting their fireworks show, so if you don’t want to take a cruise, you can bring a blanket to the beach and watch the show.

Another of our favorite July 4th cruises is of course the Fireworks Cruise in Newport Beach.  This phenomenal event is a 2.5 hour voyage where you will travel along the Old Glory Boat parade, and enjoy the fireworks show.
