Yes, LA has tons of fun bridges everywhere and although it is true they aren’t as striking or famous as the Golden Gate bridge, they are cool enough and accessible enough to grab some memorable photos.

1 – Franklin Avenue Bridge
Description:
This bridge was built in the 1920s in the neighborhood of Franklin Hills and is also affectionally known as The Shakespeare Bridge. It is narrow and it has these peculiar towers on each end of the bridge that makes it look very pretty and kind of romantic too.
You can take a drive through this well known bridge which is Los Angeles Historical Monument number 126, or you can stroll along the unique and narrow side walks and stop to take your pics.
There is also a small garden under it and the color of the flowers will make your pics pop up.

2 – Colorado St Bridge
Description:
The Colorado St. Bridge in Pasadena is a popular destination for pictures, for good reasons. The bridge was built in 1913 and it has a beautiful historical look. Day or night you can capture some epic pictures with this historic gem.
We recommend trying taking a pic from underneath because you can capture many of the gorgeous architectural details and this will add to the depth and complexity of your pictures.
Also try taking a photograph as you walk through the bridge in the evening right before sunset, and maybe you can capture a magical moment like the one in the movie La La Land.

3 – Bridge at Venice Canals
Description:
One of the most beautiful areas to take pictures and one of the most photographed places in LA is the Venice Canals, in Venice Beach.
In fact you can find over 400 pictures of the bridge at the Venice Canals just on the Getty website alone!
Head over the Venice canals at any time of the day to take great pictures. You can capture enigmatic evenings and gorgeous sunsets at the Venice Canals and if you time it right and get a gondola underneath the bridge, which will make your photo look extra special.
Also, a great time to take pictures here is during one of the many gorgeous sunny afternoons. The green plants all around, the quaint charming houses with the water and flowers in the back drop make this spot super ideal for capturing a special only in LA moment.

4 – Ferndell Bridge
Description:
The trail through Ferndell in Griffith Park is a shady beautiful path surrounded by lots of green plants and feels like a mini escape from the busy nearby city. This gorgeous spot is sure to give your pics an enchanted touch and the all the magnificence of LA nature.
There are a total of nine footbridges that connect the pathways of the Ferndell Nature Trail, so you have lots to play with while trying to capture the perfect photos.
Stroll around until you find the 52 long pedestrian bridge at Red Oak Drive. We suggest you go under this bridge and capture an image of the bridge’s vintage look.
Have fun, and after you are done grab a snack at the magnificent Trails Café just steps away and also a good spot to get some great photos.

5 – Pacific Electric Railroad Bridge
Description:
The next time you are in Torrance check out The Pacific Electric Railroad Bridge. This historic double-tracked arch bridge is one of the oldest structures in the City of Torrance and is an important part of the cities rich history. Today the bridge still stands strong and beautiful and many locals who know its significance stop to appreciate and photograph it.
Get a little creative and capture some awesome images of the side of the bridge. The elegant arches help create impacting effects in your pics. Also the rail tracks don’t carry actual traffic and you can safely take pictures of the tracks.
