2 – Eboat Rental Newport

Eboats Rental Newport

Description:

Electric boats are an awesome, comfortable and easy way to cruise around the beautiful Southern California harbors and marinas.  While there are a few good eboat rental places we recommend trying Eboats Rental in Newport Harbor. Their service and boats are great but also the location in Lido Village in Newport is one of the most gorgeous areas on the water you can be in California.

Renting an eboat for a few hours is a great way to have a fun and relaxing time with friends and family.  Another cool thing is you can bring your own cooler for snacks and drinks including beer and wine if you choose.

With eboats your the skipper but no worries these little boats are extremely easy to drive even for firs time drivers and don’t go over 5 miles and hour.

Great for all ages, kids can have fun watching their parents being captain of their ships while if you’re looking for an adult only date, grown ups can spend romantic evenings cruising around the harbor.

Visit New Port Electric Boat for rental.

4 – Whale Watching, Captain Dave’s Dana Point

Captain Daves Whale Watching

Description:

There are some great whale watching cruises in Los Angeles but we recommend you go up a little further South to Dana Point. There you can treat yourself and the family to gorgeous ocean views and also a chance to see magnificent ocean creatures with Capt. Dave’s Dana Point Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari.

Some of have called Captain Dave’s one of the best services to see whales in the world (yes, the world!) They have over 1,000 5 star reviews on Yelp which is not an easy feat but when you look into the details of what they offer you can see why people love it.

Every tour is not only guided by a captain, as expected but also a marine biologist, who will share with your group interesting facts about the animals as you encounter them. They also keep the amount of people out on each excursion low so its not too crowded.

Whale watching is one of the great benefits to the outdoors here in California and it can be done pretty much all year round. Book a cruise at Captain Dave’s here.

5 – SUP, Pro Sup Shop Marina Del Rey

Pro Sup Shop Marina Del Rey

Description:

Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a great way to get out on the water for some calm relaxation with the waves. If you’re a beginner though, you have to know there is a big difference between going out in the Ocean and a Marina.

Doing SUP in the strong Ocean waves without much experience can result in lots of time being dumped in the water. But the calm Marina waters are perfect for first timers and that’s why we recommend you go to Pro Sup Shop in Marina del Rey. They are just a few yards away from the water at Mothers Beach and after checking in you will be on your board and cruising in minutes.

This is an awesome location for stand up paddle boarding and the marina is perfect for going out for a calm 90 minute to 2 hour trip. After floating by the all the boats in the Marina you will come out to a little more open water and get a great view of Fisherman’s Village.

Its also not unusual to come across sea lions relaxing under the sun while you’re out there.

You can rent a stand up paddle board from Pro Sup Shop here.

Location: 4175 Admiralty Way Marina Del ReY
