There are so many incredible day trips from Los Angeles but we just really can’t get enough of Ojai! This charming town is only about an hour and a half away from North LA, and like we have pointed out in previous posts, it is truly a world away from the big city of LA in setting, attitude, and general vibes.
The city of Ojai has long been known as a refuge for artists, musicians, and creative folks.
Located in the heart of central coast California, Ojai is packed with so many beautiful spots and fun things to see you may never want to leave.
Here are some of our recommended things to do and places to experience when you visit this beautiful valley town.
1 – Hike Rose Valley Falls
Description:
If you love the outdoors you will want to check out this beautiful two-tier 300-foot waterfall, located in Los Padres National Forest. The hike to the first tier is rated easy and you can even bring your family and pets.
However, be cautious when continuing the trail to the second tier as the terrain gets more difficult and you may encounter some loose rocks.
With it’s pretty scenery and fairly easy hike Rose Valley Falls is a great addition to your Ojai bucket list.
Although the water might be too cold for many to get into it’s a great place to capture your memories with pictures and check a waterfall hike off your bucket list.

5 – Pink Sunset at Meditation Mount
Description:
Have you heard of Ojai pink moments? It’s one of the most beautiful things you can find in California nature and with all that we have that’s saying a lot! The pink moment happens when the sun sets and its light bounces off the Topanga Mountains like a mirror, to reflect the beautiful tones of pink and red over gorgeous Ojai.
One of the most popular places to catch this gift from the heavens is at Meditation mount founded and offered to the public since 1971.
Meditation mount also offers stunning views of the valley and it’s an incredibly peaceful and serene place to visit.
